The Three Days Results of the Asian Games in Ashgabat Takes the Uzbekistan Team to the Third Place in Team Event

According to the results of the first three days of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, held on September 16-27 in Ashgabat, Uzbekistan athletes win 28 medals.

The first competitions on the national Turkmen wrestling and jujitsu started on September 16. For two days the Uzbekistan national team, represented at the tournament by 189 athletes, has won 2 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals.

Jiu-Jitsu competitions in mixed style take place at the Martial Arts Arena in the category of ‘full contact.’ In the new sports event, already tested at the Asian Championships, Sukhrob Usmanov (77 kg) and Ravshankhon Khusanov (105 kg) became bronze medalists.

In the tournament on the national Turkmen wrestling Ilkhomjon Mashrabov (75 kg) and Obidali Mavlonov (90 kg) won gold medals.
Shahzoda Ergasheva (50 kg), Gulhumoroy Dadaboyeva (65 kg) and Gulmira Ismatova (68 kg) became silver medalists of the Asian Games.
Manzuraoy Muydinova (52 kg), Dilafruz Mamajonova (65 kg), Abdurasul Khabibullayev (62 kg), Fayzulla Ummatov (62 kg), Shahobiddin Sangilov (68 kg), Eldor Nematov (82 kg) and Islomjon Kuldashev (100 kg) grabbed bronze medals.

Bronze medals in the classic style of wrestling also went to Islombek Kuldashev (100 kg), Husan Nosirov (57 kg), Fayzulla Ummatov (62 kg), Shakhobiddin Sangilov (68 kg), Elbek Sotvoldiyev (65 kg), Ilkhomjon Mashrabov (75 kg), Obidali Mavlonov (90 kg), Manzuraoy Muydinova (52 kg), Khavashkhon Jurakuziyeva (63 kg) and Gulmira Ismatova (70 kg).
Valentin Hegai (54 kg) became a bronze medalist in taekwondo competitions.

Nadiya Dusanova won gold medal in high jump with the result of 1.86 m, while Safina Sadullayeva won silver - 1.83 m.
The Uzbekistan futsal team defeated the UAE (5:1) in the first match. In the next rounds the team will play against the Maldives, Afghanistan and China.

The Games brought together more than 6 thousand athletes from over 60 countries.
Uzbekistan ranks third in the first three days (3-5-20). The tournament table is headed by Turkmenistan (29-21-12), followed by Iran (4-2-6).
